First hummer of summer!

It's not quite summer of course, but I'm sure Michigan Man would agree that a rhyme is always good. I had been told that the hummers are back, but hadn't seen one. This morning I glanced out my kitchen window and there he was, sipping sugar water. I took his picture from our kitchen window because it was too wet and chilly today to take my camera for a walk. I posted two more hummingbird pictures and seven other species here on my nature blog, if you have time to take a look.

PS  I am trying valiantly to catch up with my blip friends, but it's a struggle and I am missing too much. Life is so full, and for that I am thankful.
