I took Mrs TD into Haddington today on patchwork related business; We had lunch there with patch working friends and planned patch working events. Very pleasant it was too.

After lunch, Herself went off to spend some of her ill-gotten gains in the local patchwork shop while I amused myself on the river bank. Swans regularly nest here on an island and one was duly sitting on the nest. This specimen was sailing about displaying for some time but it came within a few feet of both myself and another swan without showing any signs of aggression and didn't appear to have any relationship with the one on the nest. He must have been just showing off.
