How many people does it take to mend a chain? 
Luckily the rain had gone, the wind was on our backs and the sun was on our faces. Strath Connon was beautiful but the inclines were too much for John's chain and it finally gave up the fight. It was a favourite and he had had it for many years but it will not stand in the way of progress and John has promised that a brand new sparkling replacement will be purchased before our next outing. I hope he keeps the rather fetching pale blue gloves though.
