Back streets...

Our last full day in Venice so we decided to take a route through the back streets and bridges of the city. It was another perfect sunny day and it was so relaxing just strolling about at our own pace and making up the route as we went. I liked this courtyard and that the persons towels hanging up reminded me of the Italian flag. I love the colour of terracotta walls and the golden roofs of the city. It really is a beautiful and magical place but I don't think it would be as nice in peak tourist season. We had dinner in the evening sunlight by the canal and then took in the sunset looking out to sea. A perfect day.
