The bluebells are out!

Olivia has been struggling with an outer ear infection all week so because Mum and Dad are visiting we thought it best if she had the day off school as she hasn't been sleeping due to the pain and has been very quiet at school (all her teachers have commented that she's just not herself). We knew we would have problems with Dex if he knew Olivia was staying at home with the beloved grandparents and he had to go to school, so we let him have the day off too! No rest for Mum and Dad here! 
I informed their head teacher of our decision when I got to school and she surprised me with how supportive she was (I was a little nervous telling her about Dexter). She was in full agreement that grandchild-grandparent relationships are very important and it's important that they had this time together. Phew!

Mum and Dads reward was a trip to the Bluebell forest after school. It was stunning and they really enjoyed it.
