I like to sit on the bench upon the hill and watch across the land. In the distance the Boudewijn Toren in Belgium on top of Het Drielandenpunt (the tri-border point). It is the highest point of the Netherlands on the continent. We share the hill with our neighbours, Belgium and Germany.

It is Liberation Day today. In the cities there are festivals and for me, here in the countryside it is a day to ponder.
