Not Blue but Definately a Bell
Taken at Newhailes Estate (National Trust for Scotland) on the outskirts of Musselburgh, East Lothian.
I discovered - with some dismay - when I was shooting life-size [this one was half life-size, on the sensor] with the Sigma 105mm macro lens [when I'm less than 2cm 'away' from the subject] that bluebells in this place were surrounded by nettles - getting back on my feet was something of, em, a feat!
It's an excellent spot for a ramble with your dog and during the summer (maybe other times) Newhailes House is open for sightseeing.
