The Ant

i spotted an ant on this Bluebell as I photographed it yesterday,

Busy day up early for a bird count walk - 35 species seen on my regular walk. While that is good it is worthy of comment that many birds I hoped to see were still absent. No Swift, Cuckoo, Chats, Wheatear for example.

After that I photographed the Mass start and the first few back in the James's Thorn Fell run -lots of photos on Flickr.

Then there was the snooker (well done to Stuart Bingham)

We missed some of that watching the highly recommended Dawn Chorus on BBC4. No background music, no voice overs just the sights and sounds -wonderful
