Made it

In spite of tornadoes and all sorts of mayhem at departure in Washington, we made it to France -- via London -- in a very smooth trip.

Here's a quick peek from my mom's place at my daughters playing a bit of tennis. Gotta envy the energy of "kids": not a wink of sleep overnight, but simply can't stay still :)

at this point (4am), youngest daughter and I are awake and having a bit of brioche and coffee. the rest of the gang is sound asleep. As soon as everyone comes to and we've packed up the car, we're off to Italy! :)
