On Saturday I discovered that a friend who I thought was living in Manchester was actually considerably nearer, having recently become the proud owner of this boat, currently moored just over the Yorkshire/Lancashire border.  It's fairly small, but then so is he!

I took the train to Gargrave and cycled over to see him, it's been a ridiculous amount of time since we last caught up but I hope we can make it a bit more regular now.  The boat is very exciting, although from the time we spent on it I couldn't decide whether it would make me sea (canal) sick in time; I am pathetically motion-sensitive.

Great to see someone following their ambitions.
