..is the standard bowdlerised cricketing term for being pinged right in the bollocks by a fast delivery. That's what happened to me tonight when I had a hundred or so deliveries from the bowling machine at nets.
One in the spuds at 70mph really does take the breath away. I can only imagine what it's like at test-match speed.
