Birds

A day of this, ruined cottages, beach walks, Hynish, more hares than I've seen in my whole life in one day), Dunlins, Roseate(I'm nearly sure) terns (not nesting yet, thankfully), the sound but not sight of Corncrakes (25% of Britain's population live here), lapwings all over the shop, lambs, white-fronted geese, shelducks, eider ducks, seals (10 of which followed us along the beach, staring all the time in the creepy way that they do), and lots more besides.

Yesterday, the rain and wind did clear, and there were dry walks.  Black-tailde Godwits (I doubted myself but a Tiree birding website confirmed).
