Stars of the show

Our lunch host today has a very pretty garden, and these tulips were the stars of the show.
We were late for lunch because on our long route there was a traffic jam so we took a slow detour, and on that route we seldom got above thirty miles an hour because there were so many cyclists on the road. But there was a warm welcome when we eventually arrived at the home of Marie, a dear friend of more than fifty years.
