Late afternoon light

A gentle, laid back picture today. Coming home up the garden I noticed the late afternoon light shining through the branches and new foliage of our largest Eucryphia glutinosa, the only deciduous species, from Chile. It won't flower until July or August - big white single flowers.

Beneath is the evergreen, or semi-evergreen foliage of Hypericum xylosteifolium, a suckering shrub from Georgia and NE Turkey.
