Cat Blip Surprise!

It was a day full of small emergencies. My cell phone has the day off, I have work sprouting up all around, but to start the day, my friends who were leaving town needed me to leap into action because this little squirt showed up by their doorstep and requires a life-saving. I was all ready for the usual routine of stopping by and feeding their five cats, but a few hours before they were to leave, there seems to have been a feral cat's nest that was washed out in last night's storm.

I've been feeding him cat milk formula from a tiny bottle, and just now I tried some tuna juice on him. I keep him as clean as possible, especially clearing the pus from his eyes and forcing them open. Advice has been coming in and I'm glad to get it. I haven't done this myself in about 20 years.

The yet-to-be-named kitling mostly just lies there, giving up, but he's had a good puke and a poop as well, his appetite is holding steady, and in our last back-to-life session he voiced a few cat-words and stumbled a few steps. How's that for spunk?

[EDIT, early next morning: Unfortunately my little waif has given up the ghost. No life left in him when I checked him after waking up. Thanks to all of you for the advice and encouragement! I'll bury him shortly.]
