perfect english woodlands, old moss covered oaks, new leaves opaque, wood sorrel, bluebells, bilberry, birdsong overture. Em running ahead along the winding uphill track, puddle jumping, pebble throwing. Then out into the perfect calm around the tarn. Which lasted for a few peaceful minutes, then the masses arrived.
