Phillip in the van

Phillip Hay is one of Blackheath's very talented sculptors - or at least he used to be.  I have three of Phillip's wonderful sculptures and they all involve fish, so I especially like that we can see one of Phillip's work in progress fish paintings behind him.  After years of hard physical work, Phillip has hung up his soldering irons (or whatever it is that he uses) and picked up the brushes instead.

Of late Phillip has been living in a caravan out on Shipley in the most beautiful spot, but without any power or the most basic niceties.  And its starting to get very cold indeed.  

I tell you, these artists are hardy souls.
