Mother Goose

I saw this family yesterday in the pond below the osprey nest so I came back to photograph them today.  There are several other pairs of geese on the pond but all the goslings (I counted 25) stay with these two, easy to recognize because she's the only one with a band.  I doubt very much that she laid 25 eggs but they were all with her yesterday as well.  Today I watched them follow her in and out of the water ignoring the other geese in the pond.  I'll have to read about geese.  Maybe this is common.  It was fun to watch the fuzzy little babies waddling and swimming with their "parents"!
