Back to the Bluebells
My turn to walk the dog again, so back to the Bluebell wood.
Before the dog's walk however a catch up with an old friend. It's been said that true friends pick up where they left off, even if that was years ago. And so it was today. Although we live only 10 minutes apart by car, we both work full time now and have other commitments that demand our time. A chance remark on Facebook led to a date to share a cuppa! 3 hours flew by!
Worthy of note as Brian and I prepare to move is the story of our last move. Said friend, Katie and I had met when we were both pregnant and lived in the same block of flats in London. A couple of years and 3 children later, Katie went on holiday. I was watering her plants, gathering mail etc while she was away. We were offered a council house out in Kent, long story short, we accepted it and moved the next week, all before Katie came home. In fact I had to just leave her a note on her kitchen table that said 'we've moved, ring me'.
As soon as she visited us she too applied for a house in Kent and 6 months later moved to a house opposite us!
Our children are in their 30s now and Katie divorced and remarried, but we're still friends and today she mentioned that she too would love to live by the sea..........
