London Day Out

Today I headed into London to meet up with a friend from my days in Denver - a friend I hadn't seen in over 20 years.  He and his two kids were at the very beginning of a 2-week tour of London, Paris and Berlin.  The last time I saw him was when his daughter was just a baby.  It was a great reunion - like no time had passed at all.  But I was sad that his wife wasn't able to come too - I had been one of her bridesmaids when they got married.  

We did quite a bit of walking, had lunch at Pizza Express, fought the crowds, witnessed the beginning of the Buckingham Palace Scooter Run, went on a very chilly boat trip and viewed all the main sights along the Thames, bought hats, and ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe.  It was a pity that it was such a cold and grey day in London, but we had a great time!
