I had a bit of a lie in this morning and was dressed just in time for Mr Smith to pick Murron up for a trip to the Haddington Fayre. Rowan had stayed overnight with friends and Sam had his shift volunteering at Oxfam, which left just Nick and I. We had a very nice time indeed....

Anyway. I baked - banana oatmeal muffins, chocolate malt loaf, raisin and chocolate flapjack and sun-dried tomato focaccia. It's all going to Fife tomorrow where I will be photographing some families. I can't wait :)

I intended to take some photos in the garden, but I got distracted by my neighbour chopping down the beautiful lilac by our gate as he hacked at his weeds. It took every ounce of self restraint (and Nick telling me it's his lilac) not to intervene. In the end I was saved by the sunset.
