It's a hard life...
Today started with pouring rain here in Cumbria so we went for an indoor activity this morning - we visited the Lakeland Distillery and went on the tour to see how they are developing their relatively new business distilling Whisky, vodka and gin. Very interesting it was too in some beautifully revamped premises. The tasting session was interesting too, and yes, we did buy some!
You might think that the weather brightening up was alcohol induced but it wasn't! It was actually much drier so we decided to head to Buttermere for a walk. The biggest problem was paying for the parking as the machine didn't like our 5p coins but once we'd sorted that out we were off! It was a bit blowy and damp on the outward leg but once we'd gone round the end and were heading back towards the village the sun came out! Yaaayyyy!
I'd already decided to go for a sheep blip and this obliging mama was sitting waiting for me in the sunshine. I think it's a Herdwick, but await correction or confirmation from experienced Blippers.
Then we went for 30 minutes retail therapy in Keswick via Honister and Borrowdale. I did manage to find a couple of things to enhance my wardrobe... As Trev said yesterday there are one or two sales on in Keswick - not at my favourite George Fisher's though!
Looking forward to the Dufton Blipmeet tomorrow.
