INTERLOPER

After his hissing didn't deter the heron, the drake and his lady waddled a few feet away from the nest. The heron looked as though he was inspecting it - I couldn't see whether he took anything from it, but it didn't look like it. I hope not. Then the two ducks came back and settled down again, so it was probably OK.
