Bramble

Spoilt for choice today. A morning ride along country lanes plus a walk by the river yielded plenty of interest. Wildflowers including great blue swathes of Germander Speedwell and the brilliant Scarlet Pimpernel. Bright blue damselflies alpenty but they've been well covered recently. Back home there are some lovely things in the garden too including a nest of spiders! Some of these feature in today's album.

However I have settled on an intimate encounter with a bramble, on which a damselfly did not alight. We often overlook the beauty in the commonest weeds.
