Upside down umbrellas...

....this afternoon at the Mt Hawthorn street festival. They were a beautiful lighting feature at the entrance to an open air bar. However, about 15 minutes after I took this photo, the skies turned grey, then black and then the heavens opened. Three centimetres of rain fell in 45 minutes. The festival, which was a huge success and had been going strong since 11am, came to an abrupt halt at 4.30pm with the sudden change in weather conditions. I don't think anyone expected so much rain.
