Funk Festival

Super fun day today at D.C.'s 2nd Funk Festival. It's a day fair, participatory parade and evening music festival that honors the city's musical heritage and brings together its many communities under the spirit of funk. It's supported by community leaders, musicians, artists, and over 100 local groups and businesses. After this week's tensions and polarization across groups of people, it was really nice to see everyone come together and simply have some fun without pretense or agendas :)
