A day off sick - I'm staying home at the first sign of s sniffle this year. No more extended periods fighting bugs brought in from around the world by well travelled students. No more soldiering on miserable. Instead some good rest and I'm back on my feet the next day, everybody wins.

Had a visit from a friend today who came about as close to death as one can, without being ill, last week. Was good to take the time to sit and talk it through and to debate whether he should stop the risky activity that lead to him facing an untimely end.

We decided that would be silly.
