Lenny in London!
Travelled into London for our monthly Blipmeet. Started off in Borough Market famous for its culinary delights. A fabulous place for photography but just a bit too busy! May have to return on a week day when it should be a bit quieter!
We then wandered down the South Bank towards City Hall and London Bridge. These office buildings with the fountains in front are next to City Hall. I liked the new lime green leaves on the trees against the dark glass of the buildings. Unfortunately the sky was pretty grey and flat today, however we were very lucky that the predicted rain held off for us!
Today there was the added bonus of Lenny, part of the Shaun in the City public art trail across London and Bristol to raise funds for Wallace & Gromit's Children's Charity and The Grand Appeal (both supporting children in hospitals across the UK). Lenny was created by Simon Tofield and features the very popular cartoon character, Simon's Cat. This is one of 50 sculptures dotted around London - the other 70 will be grazing in Bristol later this summer.
Thanks Matthew for organising the meet. A really lovely day with friends and blippers

was rounded off in Pizza Express.
A couple of extra photos taken around City Hall and the Tower of London. The last one was taken in Borough Market. This was in the display counter advertising their venison joints, burgers, etc. I can't say it enticed me to make a purchase!
