Wedding Day
Today we went to St Paul, MN for their Cinco de Mayo celebration. On such a gorgeous summer-like day the streets were packed with people. We had a good time people watching, eating tacos and roasted corn, listening to some fun music and watching dancers. Walking back to our car brought us past the Wabasha Brewery so we had to stop and check that out, of course. On our way home we drove by Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis because we might go in there tomorrow for a May Day celebration and wanted to find it today when there was less traffic. We happened upon this large bird and decided to stop and see what was going on. We were just on time to see the start of a wedding ceremony. You can see the couple under the white canopy which is held by two large paper mache' hands. Above the canopy is a huge paper mache' moose head! I would sure like to know the significance of that! This spectacular bird is attached to a bicycle which is made for six and had a Just Married Sign. It would have been fun to see the wedding party ride this bird around the park but we decided not to wait.
