DO I DARE?

This tiny red squirrel finally got the nerve to pick up a peanut while I was sitting nearby on the deck.  That’s a first!!  He was plenty angry with me when I first went outside, and came between him and the nuts.  While he hugged this branch, he scolded me with chirping and chattering for quite a while, his tail flicking angrily the whole time.  Finally he dared to take the chance.  Of course his bravery was rewarded with even more peanuts.
