happy birthday Lucy
Coldingham

This place is so important to me and has played a lovely part in my life for many, many years. This wee house (which belongs to my very good and old friend Diarmid) has witnessed many a splendid day and evening and over the years has gradually seen the evenings change - from the excited joyous teenage newly found parent free independent type evenings ; ) right through to today; this room has hosted uncountable magic times. We are the same group of friends and we can certainly have as much fun, but now there are the wee ones running about and reminding us that there will be no easing into the day tomorrow, unlike the old times, when we'd wake up in a pile to the sound of waves crashing, and spill out into the front garden of one of the most beautiful places I know. And we'd start again.

Oh and that is a gas lamp - this place has no electricity. And the reflection on the ceiling, is actually a reflection of a mirror, which in turn is reflecting the view out of the front door. The view is of Coldingham Bay and the North Sea.

Oh and there were a couple missing. Well, three now. But that's what happens when you grow up. Lots of love to X and D and B xx
