Northern Star

Unexpected (words edited!)

Very unexpected day after my hopes for Cromer were dashed.

Visited Castell Coch which is a nightmare to find due to lack of signage. It's near Cardiff and the final sign off the road had lettering so small you had to be pretty close and stationary to read it. It's gothic in style and framed by tree tops. Look it up if you are interested. I've tried to find it for years and missed the turn. Later went to Caerphilly Castle  which is huge was swamped by the town and road in some ways. Drove on to Swansea which felt big and then across to the mumbles. Walking along the cliffs was a nice refreshing sight, saw huge ships in the distance and a lonely  lighthouse.

On the mumbles mile met two very friendly helpful locals (two separate incidents) both people eager to tell helpful info. One old man in his 90s wanted to point out the small section of free parking. Later on a man in his 70s and his wife wanted to make sure the local brewery wasn't missed! So friendly. The brewery (The Pilot) was packed the door with locals. Very smiley  happy people.

The early evening involved Lebanese food which was ok. Now it's 10pm and I can see the sea. I have too much cheese in front
me good job I have exercise planned! No real plans for tomorrow so the day will just unfold. Places of interest noted on the back of an envelope in the footwell of the car!
