Typical Spanish beach...
Went for my early morning run again - it was a beautiful morning and as I approached the point where I usually turn back I felt a bit like Forrest Gump and just kept on running! I ended up on the beach in Altea. This is a typical Spanish town which has a very pebbly beach so its not a great favourite with the Brits (unlike Benidorm - the next town along with not one but two beautiful sandy beaches - a great favourite with my fellow countrymen & women!) So the first shot (LHS) is the view towards Calpe and The Penon (this gigantic rock was the look-out point hundreds of years ago when pirates would come on raids along this coast). We have been to the very top once and probably won't do it again! But the view was amazing. The photo to the right is the lighthouse and towards Benidorm and the middle shot is of the beach - very pebbly!
