Anyone for a bier?

This bier used to carry the village coffins on their last journey.

I'm not sure about the hooks on the sides... would they be to hold flowers...? Decorative braces of pheasant...? Who knows.

A quiet day today. A visit to the flicks to watch Avengers: Age of Ultron with my eldest and her partner's son. Great fun, so long as you take your brain out first, and what Saturday morning cinema was all about when I was a kid.
