The main event

For a University that isn't quite 50 years old (in fact, this week it was unveiled as the 7th best university in the world under 50 years old), Maastricht has developed some fine (borrowed) traditions, such as dressing up for inaugurals (and dressing up your guests too...).

I had to do a selfie, of course, and was particularly pleased to catch the main man in the mirror too (before he himself got togged up).

And after the lecture, there were receptions and parties. Much fun was had by all.
