A strange fact about New Malden is that it is reputedly the home of the largest Korean community outside of Korea.

This pleases me as it means that many of the shops and restaurants in the town have signage which is completely incomprehensible to me and I can enjoy the feeling of being at large in a foreign country without the need for all that tiresome travelling.

I have absolutely no idea why Seoul Plaza had a large arch of pink balloons around their door today but it pleased me enormously that they did!

Regular visitors to this page will know that I am not normally so easily pleased - something must be going on!
