Brook Lodge, Haslemere

I have been past this gateway many times when driving to Haslemere in Surrey. I suddenly noticed the colour of the trees through the arch of the Lodge Gate. I stopped on the way back home to take a quick shot. I love the way the arch has set off the parkland so well. 

The property, built in 1896 must have been very grand at one time. It was built by H. Paxton Watson for Whitaker-Wright the financier. I am not sure whether there is a house now, I haven't found that information yet. It may just be the lodge gate that remains.
