Red Trillium

We spotted both white and red trilliums during our walk in Dawyck this morning. They provided a welcome splash of colour in the gardens. The early flowering rhododendrons are now over and it will be some time yet before the full glory of the Azalea and Rhododendron walk will be revealed. Usually this happens towards the end of May till the middle of June. I just hope the late frosts we're having won't spoil the buds. More pictures from our walk can be seen here.
