Mum's green fingers

The garden is looking very colourful at the moment, thanks to Mum's green fingers. The forecast for this weekend is heavy rain so let's hope these don't get too battered.

Ian and I had a half day today so we could get home and pack and then head for Wales as soon as Leo finished school. Given we left at 4pm on a Friday bank holiday weekend, the journey was surprisingly trouble free. Not so for those heading in the opposite direction to us, into the South West, as they were stuck in some horrible lengthy queues.

We made it in time for the wedding rehearsal at 6pm. Tracey (the bride) tells me she has had a disaster with my dress and has cut it too short and too wonky! I have pledged to limp up the aisle in a wonky fashion to make it appear normal. I am hoping she is exaggerating :)

We are now all tucked up in bed nice and early ahead of the excitement tomorrow. I am hoping the rain holds off for a brief spell so she can get to and from the church without a soaking. I'll have to do a sun dance tomorrow.
