First of May

We did a short visit to Tampere to sense the atmosphere of the First of May. In Finland it's not only the International Workers' Day, but also students' day (with the white student caps on) and a sort of a carnival.

In the main photo, the first-year students of Tampere University of Technology have their traditional "baptism" in Tammerkoski Rapids. In the extra photo one of the funniest carnival outfits.
