Crab spider
Busy day - the new cattle arrived for one common in the morning and in the afternoon we held our jubilee walk and picnic. More than 80 people turned up so I was roped into leading a group of 30 on a slightly more adventurous and longer walk than originally planned to give the rest time to visit the windmill. Plenty of orchids to see and I spotted this female crab spider (Misumena vatia) on a flag iris. Its quite an interesting spider in that it can change colour depending on what type of flower its hunting on. Unfortunately I only had a wide angle lens with me.
