Flowering cherries

Two beautiful flowering cherry trees in the centre of Wooler.

For ages we've been talking about buying a Scrabble set, but been reluctant to part with quite a lot of money for a plastic scrabble tiles made in China. So I was very chuffed to find an old (Vintage', as it was labelled) set in a charity shop in Berwick. Probably dating from the 1950s, the set has lovely wooden letter tiles in their original cloth storage bag, and was made in Britain. We played last night - and Mr M won by a mile!
