Warm at last

The new burner for the central heating boiler finally arrived this morning. However, we stuck to The Plan and Mr L ground the lumps from the concrete floor in the kitchen then filled the depressions with self-levelling compound. Then he set to and installed the burner. It fired first time although I didn't know it - because it runs so very quietly that I cannot hear it through the wall as I used to.

It may be the 1st of May but the heating is ON - and Teddy can come back in from the conservatory now, he'll be warm enough indoors once things get up to temperature. I may divest myself of my thermals now.

The kitchen is a bit of a tip and we have further upheaval planned for tomorrow, so we'll sup at the pub tonight. Hope its not too busy, being a Bank Holiday weekend we may well have visitors on the island.

Tomorrow we will begin to floor the area where the range is going. 

Addendum: I appear to have fallen from the knitting project diet wagon. I also seem to be doing Christmas knitting, judging by the colours
