Mantis praying on camellia

For my first entry in Flower Friday I had planned a macro of the white camellia looking lovely in my garden at the moment.But when I got home from town there was a jar sitting on the doorstep with a praying mantis inside. I had mentioned to a neighbour I was looking for one.
I placed it on the camellia, took some photos, then the phone rang so I answered it and by the time I came back he was gone. I never did find it.
So here is a "soft" focus macro.
The extra is the mantis on his own.
