The tour

So today we did 'the tour'. We met George at Herrshing which is on the Ammersee and headed to Kloster Andechs; a monastery where they have a brewery. Gearge and Paul sampled the weisswurst and we headed out to Linderhof - our first castle of the day. Then a stroll round Oberamergau before crossing the border for lunch in Austria. Back into Bavaria and over to Fussen to see Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau - the picture is of Neuschwanstien - and then the Wieskirche before a drive round Landsberg-am-Lech and then to Furstenfeldbruck for the train back to Munich. A beer in the hotel bar and a chat about the trip; we'll be back,  possibly next year.

I still think of Munich as home and I think that Paul and Phil might have fallen under its spell too.
