Yellow Spiraea

Still bitterly cold and rural frost risk tonight. Not a good idea to move plants, split them or prune them. No new buds opening. No fun really. It seems like everything is waiting for spring. So I waited too and just did some weeding and protecting vulnerable plants from frost.
This yellow spiraea is in the front north facing border and catches the early and late sunshine beautifully. I used the illustration effect for interest.
