The Stornoway Ferry

It is there but you need to go very large to see it.

I am happy with this image for the fact that such unlikely subjects are combined. If you were told to take a photo of a ferry heading out in to the Minch; fine, waterfall; fine but if you were asked to take a picture of a water fall with a big ferry at sea in the background, you would think fat chance.

Anyway, on the way back down the hill I spied this lovely waterfall and balanced the camera on a boulder (in the absence of a tripod) and in the narrow gully beyond the Ullapool to Stornoway ferry appeared. I know someone out there will put me right but I think it is very unusual to be able to see a waterfall and simultaneously look out to sea.
