I spent the morning in the Gateshead office then had an unexpected and welcome invite to join a couple of colleagues down at the Baltic for lunch. After that I made my way back to the station and on southwards to Milton Keynes; unfortunately via a changeover in London which involved serious delays for all the trains coming out of Euston (capercaillie in the overhead wires at Watford Junction, Joan - or something like that). By the time I got to MK I really could have done without the incompetent taxi driver who took me to K's Hill. Not just incompetent, downright dangerous. I survived, but bah, humbug.

So in blip terms I was most grateful to the blinking bridge which had just opened most elegantly when I arrived at the Baltic.
