Pulsatilla albana

Although somewhat smaller flowered than the commonly grown Pulsatilla vulgaris, this species is a garden-worthy plant with soft pale sulphur yellow flowers. The backs of the petals are sometimes grey-tinged but always thick with silvery hairs.  It's been outside here for several years, surviving even in more neglected places so it's a toughie despite it's fragile appearance.
