My Germans had me in fits of giggles today as they tried to say 'persuasive'. Every week I tell them that English is quite a lazy language, if we can skip over a few letters then we will, you don't want to see how they tried to spell 'scientist'...

One of the other groups decided to argue with me over which language, English or German has more words. Clearly, because they're German and hear from people that German isn't an easy language to learn (unlike English, yada yada yada) then German simply must have more words than English. I said no. He demanded proof, the little s**t, fortunately the internet access decided to function* for long enough for me to prove I was right (he sulked).

*I swear the room is like a bunker.
